AISI 318 LN is a duplex austenitic-ferritic chromium-nickel-molybdenum stainless steel.
This grade has a good resistance against pitting and stress corrosion cracking.
Unique combination of corrosion resistance, resistance to stress corrosion cracking , high tensile and yield strength.

The chain is stained and glossy passivated.

Ferritic and non-metallic microparticles can be the starting point for corrosion in untreated stainless steel, as they prevent the seamless formation of the passive layer. A stained and glossy passivated surface eliminates this source of error. All residues on the surface are removed in the pickling process. The surface is then passivated with a glossy finish, a continuous passive layer is formed in a controlled process. The corrosion resistance is thus significantly increased.
